Oktoberfest is set to take place on September 29, 30, and October 1, 2006.
Beer, Brats, Music & Fun. Join us for the Sixth Annual Chicago Oktoberfest, one of the original premier Oktoberfest festivals in Chicago!
Located in the South Lakeview neighborhood, our partner, St. Alphonsus was founded by German immigrants in 1882 and continues to recognize its German roots by celebrating an authentic Oktoberfest every September.
Keeping with tradition, festival goers can expect to experience homemade bratwurst, the oom-pah of German bands, the music of top area headliner bands, activities for kids (KinderFest), and of course lots of great beer!
This year our festival will be held entirely outdoors in a beer garden fashion. Last year we drew over thousands of people of all ages from Chicago and surrounding communities.
Dont miss this traditional celebration and be sure to bring your appetite. We promise to quench your thirst and provide you with hours of interactive entertaniment in the true spirit of a German Oktoberfest. Um-Pah bands and some of Chicagos finest pop-rock groups will be featured.
