Foot Friction and Perspiration - Dawgs™ Foot Care
Foot Friction and Perspiration
Excess Foot friction and perspiration are culprits for eventual pain. When fluid builds up inside a foot blister, it becomes a perfect growth medium for bacteria; then infection is a real possibility. Foot blister prevention is much easier than the healing process. Tape can help those who feel a blister threatening to form.
Cut a small piece of tape and gently place it directly over the sore spot. The same trick should work on any part of the body where skin starts to feel irritated from friction and/or wetness. This "second foot skin" can assist feet greatly.
Let footwear dry out; giving shoes time to dry out will reduce future perspiration and discourage foot fungus growth.
Soaking your feet in a solution of salt and warm water provides an unattractive environment for foot fungus, while at the same time softening affected skin of the feet.
Powdering both your feet and your shoes can help in any case.
If you pop a blister, or it pops, apply tape or a bandaid immediately. This foot skin layer will adhere back quickly. Most Doctors recommend popping blisters right after you get them.
