USA Special Event Description:
The Montana Wild West Fest is a two-day event that will be held at the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds located in Helena. The festival is a celebration of our Frontier History.
Saturday morning the Fest officially begins at 9:00 AM. Continuous entertainment at The Outpost Stage will change every hour. The Western Trade Show will be open, within the town site of Prairie Dog Town, where western enthusiasts can purchase a wide variety of merchandise. Western art and displays will be set in the surrounding exhibit buildings. Don't miss the Living History Encampment, complete with frontier era wagons, shelters, artisans and displays.
Several times each day in Prairie Dog Town gunslingers and lawmen will wage battle, six-guns blazing away. Entertainment for everyone is slated at The Wild West Fest especially for kids.
Saturday night at 7:30 PM The Frontier Ball will be held in the large barn with a traditional, live band. Ladies in hoop skirts and gents in period clothing will dance to old-time reels and jigs.
There is also a classic car show and the Frontier Fashion Show. Dont miss your chance to re-live the days of The Wild West!Gunfights; A Frontier Ball, entertainment at the Snakebite Saloon and The Outpost Stage; Music - Cowboy Poetry and other entertainment. Monday the Fest will host the Ridin' for the Brand competition with wrangler competition between State ranches.
