USA Special Event Description:
Annual event represents the cultural heritage of the Wabanaki, the "People of the Dawn." Meet master artists and their apprentices who will be the next generation of masters! Baskets, birchbark items, wood carvings, jewelry, dolls and other crafts will be available for sale. Co-sponsored by the Abbe Museum, Maine Indian Basketmakers Alliance and College of the Atlantic.

Directions to Festival:
Drive to Mount Desert Island, follow Route 3 to Bar Harbor. The college is located on Route 3 (105 Eden Street)on the left (water side). Extra parking available at grade school located on corner of Route 3 and Route 233 with free shuttle. Also visit the Abbe Museum located at 26 Mt. Desert Street.
