USA Special Event Description:
At 8 a.m. the 20 kilometer run starts on the arduous trail up the side of 1,134 foot Anvil Mountain, and ends with a return to the City of Nome, the start of the day's activities.
For those of you who feel the need for speed, the course record is one hour, 11 minutes and 23 seconds.
