USA Special Event Description:
Nebraska's heritage is rich with several different cultures. During NEBRASKAland DAYS' annual Heritage Festival these cultures are celebrated and experienced with free entertainment throughout the day along with a wide variety of food vendors and several demonstrations. Antique farm equipment and machinery are also in abundance with some being completely restored to their prime. Start off our 42nd annual celebration with this year's Heritage Festival taking place at the Lincoln County Historical Museum on Saturday, June 9th.
That's just the first event in the 13 day official state celebration. Other events include parades, food events, historical musical, carnivals, Miss Rodeo Nebraska competition, art shows, and nationally known singers in concert. The Buffalo Bill Rodeo has 4 nightly performances and is the largest outdoor rodeo in Nebraska. Rodeo was born here when "Buffalo Bill" Cody held the first "Old Glory Blowout" in 1882.
Event Performers:
Concert acts on Friday, June 22nd, are Sarah Buxton, Eric Church and Clay Walker. The performers on Saturday night are Danielle Peck, Neal McCoy, and Phil Vassar.

Directions to Festival:
North Platte is located in south central Nebraska along Interstate 80. Take highway 83 north of town then off of highway 30 is Buffalo Bill's Scout Rest Ranch, and across the streat is the Wild West Arena. The Buffalo Bill Rodeo celebrates its 125th anniversary at the Wild West Arena this summer.
