PHILIPPINE CUISINE
The PHILIPPINE CUISINE is a delectable combination of eastern and western menu.
From more than 3 centuries of Spanish and half-a-century of American influences,
theyre likewise inspired by Chinese, Japanese, Indian, British, French and Dutch
influences. Its truly a unique multi-cultural culinary hotpot with a dish for just about
everybody.
The classic dishes will include the pancit (noodles, vegetables and meat in light
delicious flavor) which was enjoyed by many American presidents. There will also be
the lumpia (an egg roll of vegetables and meat served with an enticing sauce). There
are many more that will be offered at the Festival for your gustatory delight! We are
also adding an American salad and a vegetarian lumpia. Interestingly, the current White
House chief chef is a migrant from the Philippines.
CHILDREN'S FOODS
The children are encouraged to sample the dishes. For those who prefer hotdogs
and chips, funnel cake, popcorn, lemonade and soda, these will be available as
well.
TROPICAL DRINKS
Tropical drinks, desserts, merienda (snacks),
pastries and other Filipino delicacies
will also be served. One such memorable
dessert is the Halo-Halo which is a healthy
mixture of various fruits and sweetened beans,
milk, and shaved ice, enjoyed slowly as a perfect
summer treat. Top that with ice cream or with the
world-famous Leche Flan and youre in dining
heaven!
GAMES
Everyone will be encouraged to try games of skill on different
parts of the Festival grounds and win Festival tokens. There will
be the High Slide, Moon Bounce, Gyro Ride for the more daring
ones.
SPECIALTY BOOTHS
Booths for karaoke, face painting and artists, learning
a Philippine dance and others are being readied.

OUR LADY OF LOURDES is located at 8200
WOODMAN ROAD, RICHMOND, VA 23228 and
can be approached from many directions.
FROM INTERSTATE 295, coming from east
or west, take WOODMAN ROAD South EXIT 45,
go through two (2) traffic lights. Then youll
see Our Lady Of Lourdes on your RIGHT.
FROM INTERSTATE 95, coming from north
or south, take PARHAM ROAD West EXIT 83,
pass Brook Road, proceed on Parham Road,
then turn LEFT onto Woodman Road. Then
youll see Our Lady Of Lourdes on your RIGHT.
FROM INTERSTATE 64, coming from east or
west, take STAPLES MILLS North EXIT 185,
proceed on Staples Mill, then turn RIGHT onto
Hilliard Road. On the 2nd traffic light, turn
LEFT onto Woodman Road. Then youll see
Our Lady Of Lourdes on your LEFT
