USA Special Event Description:
This wonderful, free-to-the-public event features dozens of activities and draws over 100,000 spectators every year. It's one of the largest Fourth of July festivals in the west and has been named one of the ten "World's Best" fireworks events by Discovery.com and the Travel Channel. Freedom Fair has also been named as a top destination event by the Wall Street Journal, CNN.com, and USA Today.
People come to enjoy the live entertainment and to eat the great food and shop in the open-air market for something special offered by one of over 150 vendors.
Everyone joys being amazed by the dazzling airshow and spectacular fireworks display that ends the day. The show is televised live on the Q13 Fox TV. The fireworks display is synchronized to music, so bring your radio tuned to Warm 106.9 FM or KLAY 1180 AM or sit near the sound system located along the waterfront. The Ruston Way waterfront is the best place to view the show, so come early and stay all day to fit in all the festivities.

Freedom Fair also includes Dragon Boat Races, Offshore Power Boats, a Pole Vault Competition, Military Displays in Camp Patriot, a food festival, arts & crafts, a car show, beer gardens, carnival rides, an air show and huge fireworks show over Commencement Bay.

I-5 to the City Center exit to I-705 by the Tacoma Dome. Follow the signs to Schuster Parkway leading to Old Town Tacoma and North 30th Street. The main entrance is at N 30th and McCarver Street.
